KLOPP derives its name from the “bog bridge”, a simple trail structure designed to provide a pathway over wetlands, both keeping hikers dry, and protecting the ecosystem underneath. Our bench echoes the bog bridge both in form, and intention.

It is a modular seating system, composed of two bench lengths, an axis of rotation, and height adjustability. These features allow the bench to be positioned and configured to best complement its intended context.

Designed with site-specificity in mind, it utilizes pipe connectors that allow for a variety of compositions, as to best adapt to its surroundings. Its adaptable structure allows it to respond to a given sites needs, whether that be sloped terrain, the twists and turns of a body of water, or other preexisting natural features. It is intended as a tool for those shaping our outdoor living spaces.

With its detachable components, KLOPP can be disassembled and reassembled for new purposes over time, both on site, as well as relocated to new settings.
